It is an awful situation. I saw a documentary on television recently. The productive aged people are all sick or dieing. The elderly and too young to fend for themselves are left uncared for. It seems overwhelming. I don't believe the USA can have much of an impact. The people of Africa must come to terms with their real enemy and stand up to it. This generation is being killed by Aids and are leaving the next generation in abject poverty with no support or heritage to guide them.

Life style is the biggest factor and this generation of productive aged adults seems unwilling to make changes. Abortion seems to be a side issue, not a cure for the problem.

"...their infected or uninfected children are often fated to waste away from the disease, or from starvation, in the gutter, or in a dark hut attended only by the maggots crawling in and out of their noses."

Its too bad I can't accuse you of exaggerating. I'd like to say it isn't this bad but it is, and all of us are going to be involved sooner or later, like it or not.

Why didn't your saviour, Bill Clinton, eradicate this scourge? Was his EIGHT years' tenure somehow less advantageous than George Bush's 2+ years??? If so, why?
