Cary, I love it! You have it all figured out(just like I do.:)

<The futures were slightly lower (-2 NASDAQ) before the INTC announcement. Without the INTC "speak", the NASDAQ would have opened down 2-5, trended lower to down 10-15 at 1 pm, and then rallied the rest of the session to close up 5-10.>

If I interpreted your remark correctly, without the INTC announcement this morning, the NASDAQ would have closed up 5 to 10 points today instead of closing down 12 points at day's end. Well, I guess we will never know for sure, but that is an interesting prognostication.:)

<I suspect Monday will look like my description of Friday without INTC.>

I am now eagerly awaiting the action on Monday. I don't know if it will look like your description of Friday, but I can go along with your scenario for the end of the day - up 5 to 10 points.

And if it doesn't look like it's going very well for the bulls during the day, the "grand maestro" will pull out his six-shooter, expend a "silver bullet" or two, and we can be confident of the outcome.
