RE: "it appears to me you've admitted that not only is it possible, it is probable" (load spyware)

I did not admit any such thing - I said that QuoteTracker does not load spyware. Thats all. There is NO code in QuoteTracker that loads spyware or requests any spyware. How much more clear can I make it?

What I said was that IF your IE security settings were set too low, than viewing content through the embedded browser in QuoteTracker can load spyware same as through the same browser outside of QuoteTracker.

And by the way, the "spyware" that most likely got reported by whatever program you used were cookies. I know that many such programs report that. Well, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing - when people see that, they panic. Having cookies that are reported by those programs would not mean that you have spyware on your computer.

And as for the comment in your other post "considering how easy it is for advertisers to go through QT's "IE components" and put spyware on a user's computer." that was NOT what I said and and an advertiser cannot easily put spyware on your computer. With default security settings in the browser, that cannot be done. It can only be done if you set your security settings to LOW, which you would have to do explicitly, so please don't put words into my mouth.

As for replying publicly, I did that because the original comment was made in a public thread

"Now you're drifting into double talk. QT didn't load spyware, but spyware could have got loaded THROUGH QT."

If you run IE and set very low security on it, visiting some Web site may "load spyware" on your machine. Is Internet Explorer "spyware", in your opinion, because of that fact?
