Are you using any Java applications through the browser? that can cause such leaks. Also, are you low on system resources or memory? there is a big difference. If resources, were you running lots of programs before and just closed them?

Also, check to make sure that you have the latest browser updates. 5.x IE versions had some memory leaks for example

sounds like win98 to me, md. is that the OS you're running?

win2000 and winxp just don't have the kind of mem leak probs that win98 has

i used to chase that all the time with w98

since i went to w2k and wxp i've almost forgotten what mem leak is
