He comes from the oil industry. He has close relationships with them. They gave a lot of funds to his campaigns both in TX and his presidential race. He looks out for their interests.

I wouldn't call that in their pockets. Nor would I think there is any thing wrong with it if he looks out for their interests as a matter of conviction. I do think that money and old friendship does get more influence with all politicians but it isn't something specific to Bush and it exagerates the effect to say he is in their pockets, or that he has been bribed by them.


I do think the relationship between Bush and the oil industry is specific to Bush. I don't think even his father had that kind of relationship with oil.

Can I be absolutely certain he's in their pockets.......no.....but its looking that way more and more.
