I cannot quite tell who you are referring to. I'll assume you mean Orrin Hatch. If so, passing the current trojan horse legislation on prescription drugs is something no one should be in favor of. The bill, as written, is a way to screw seniors out of the Medicare coverage by offering them a Faustian bargain. Take the privately run prescription drug scheme and lose the rest of your Medicare coverage, or stick with the current regime.

This bill is a sop to the drug distribution industry which will end up administering this thing, badly.

The current bill is typical Bush-it. It sounds great in the headlines, capturing votes and conning voters. But the devil is in the details, and in a couple of years, after Bush wins his second term, the typical senior is going to become utterly frustrated with the complexity of the paperwork and dismayed at the coverage.

This bill is the epitome of the Bait & Switch approach that is the hallmark of the phony man in the White House.
