Hi Hawkmoon; Re: "Then all we're doing to reshuffling the political debris."

There are different levels of "screwed up". Iraq is now much more screwed up.

Re: "Since we're already being attacked ON OUR HOME SOIL by these groups."

We have not been attacked on our home soil by any groups that were based in the Saddam controlled portion of Iraq. Of course now that we've created a Islamic Fundamentalist breeding ground this is no longer the case.

Re: "After all, we tragically lost 50,000 soldiers defending S. Korea, a tremendous loss... But had people of your ilk been in charge, that nation would not be what it is today.. It would be nothing more than a peninsula of near total darkness to those viewing it from space."

(1) You have no idea what Korea would be like if the North Koreans had won. Just aboslutely no idea. All you can do is guess. Vietnam, for example, isn't a country of "near total darkness".

(2) You have no idea what my opinion on South Korea would have been at the time. The problem at the time was Communism, which is quite a different kettle of fish than Islamic Fundamentalism. Communists were in control over a substantial percentage of the world's power. Islamic Fundamentalists have almost nothing. Nor were they in power in Iraq, LOL.

Re: "Hell, if people of your ilk had been primarily responsible for fighting that, or any other war over the past 100 years, the United States would be a mere shadow of itself, and the world would be subjugated by the Hitlers, Stalins, and Pol Pots of the world."

I've recently supported wars by the US. In fact, I supported our actions against Afghanistan and stated that we would easily win within 48 hours of the WTC attack.

I'm a right winger, not a leftie. Bush's problem getting reelected is that he is losing or has lost the support of patriotic Republicans like me.
