Well there is much more to the SARS story in Surrey, BC. The NY Times is definitely trailing on this one. There hasn't been any rational explanation about the 750 nt of exact match to SARS CoV. Just comments that finding OC43 sequences in some patients somehow negates the SARS CoV data.

The data is either real or artifact. It has nothing to do with OC43 unless the two viruses have recombined, in which case there is the potential for an even greater catastrophe.

The spin in Canada is at record levels. It will be interesting to see what happens scientifically and if the media asks Canada and WHO some real questions.

Last time I look, Free Republic was totally clueless.
