A Shiite, because they make up 60% of the population. The Kurds already have their own armies, but wouldn't be accepted in non-Kurd areas. The Sunni Generals were mostly from Saddam's own tribe.

And if whoever we choose can't maintain control, or stay alive, then let a Darwinian selection occur. Stand aside, and let the Iraqis choose.
