The West has already made their position clear. They will stand aside, and let us punch as many Tar Babies as we care to. The British PM is in serious trouble, because he stood by Bush. No other major nation is even contemplating sending non-token numbers of troops to Iraq, not unless we give up this utopian unilateralist NeoCon project, and turn Iraq over to the UN (who will turn it over to the Iraqis in short order).

You're grasping at straws, vainly hoping some other nations are as foolish as we are. Nobody else in "the West" is dumb enough to try Nation-Building anywhere in the Arab world. They tried it, in the 19th Century. The French tried it, in Algeria, until the 1960s. Been there, done that, got the military cemateries to prove it.
