I guess Barbara is still working for the government in some capacity. The navy specifically. That doesn't make her a bad person. She obviously has a good concience or she wouldn't have spilled the beans on the October Surprise. I was just trying to give you some background on her, in case you weren't aware of it. Actually, she'd probably be a REALLY interesting person to get to know, since she has an inside track on what's going on in the government.

What is your opinion of the October Surprise incident, in which the Reagan campaign conspired to keep the hostages in captivity? It is the height of all treason in my mind and should have seen Reagan face impeachment. Amazing how the Repubs acutally were able to pass an impeachment vote against Clinton for lying about a personal matter, when Reagan and Bush Sr/Jr's crimes are far far worse and far far more damaging to the country.

Where the hell is the "liberal" media? What a pathetic joke that is. The media is neither particularly liberal or conservative. The media is just another part of the wealthy establishment that keeps the wealthy elite's crimes and misdeeds from coming to light in this country. They gloss everything over with patriotic BS and diversionary stories on popular cultural figures and other such fluff while the real corporate criminals that own them get away with murder. If you really look objectively at the media, they are hardly liberal at all. They were all over every little mistake that Clinton made and everything he said, yet Reagan, Bush Sr./Jr.'s actions and statements go unchallanged? Why was Bush Jr. able to say that he wouldn't discuss anything that happened pre-1974 when the issue of his cocaine use was briefly raised and noone in the media followed up and demanded that he answer the question and come clean? Pathetic!
