The United States Institute of Peace was created to "promote the resolution of conflicts among the nations and peoples of the world without recourse to violence." Daniel Pipes believes that "diplomacy rarely ends conflicts." That sums it up in a nutshell.

Bear in mind that the USIP already has on its board NeoCon hawk Doug Feith and the VP of AIPAC, so it's not like this is going to be a genuine peace think tank anyway.
