Lizzie, if "the government California has in place is something of a violation of federalist papers," the taxpayers made it so with their votes. If California has a business-unfriendly tax environment (perhaps the high corporate tax rate?), the voters made it so. The voters made it so. The voters are the buyers. The buyers are the market. And so on and so on..... We Virginians bitch and moan and push and shove and VOTE until the majority gets its way. It doesn't suit everyone, of course.
