I was reminded of the oft quoted evaluations of retirement places, that the best are college towns.

I hadn't heard that, but it certainly would be true in a small place like Princeton. I came to Waikiki for the climate and the Beach. But the excellent on-line Library is the best feature. With the Main Library and eight branches of the state system to draw from, I can get just about anything. You would get along well with the other retired Academics in a University town, while I would come across to them as just another cranky old fart.

John,
Couldnt agree with you more about Princeton. This time of year I am in Princeton almost every weekend. Some great restaurants in Princeton too. I trust you found one. My only regret is that i always lived so close that my kids didnt want to apply there. Mike
