Scott,

This tidbit popped up in my email:

Quote:

Gen. Wesley Clark was a guest on Crossfire today (Friday). An unofficial
poll of audience was taken -- 40% of Republicans in the audience
would vote for Clark; 88% of Democrats in audience would vote for Clark.

Gen. Clark did not commit to running for President. He did list
concerns voiced to him by Republicans and Democrats alike who
continue to encourage him to run. He stated this country is at a
critical crossroad -- the War in Iraq for which we don't have sufficient
troops to "win," going to war because of weapons of mass destruction
that don't exist; fulfilling an agenda of interest groups expressed in
1992 as a solution for the Middle East; ignoring the problems of
North Korea; opening a gate to create a terrorist state in Iraq at the
present; huge foreign policy problems; Iran developing its nuclear
program; the country needs a foreign policy with solutions based on
a vision -- that no vision has been articulated to unify the country and
its policy; frightful domestic problems.
