Did you notice how the media-figures-statistics on France were produced???

Another basic method is to compare total mortality for a hot month to a cool month.

However, not a month as cold as here up in the north, where mortality increases during the coldest, and especially during the exceptionally cold months. (for the elderly but active population, for example, blood is withdrawn from the skin and limbs when really cold, breathing is more difficult, this increases the load on both the respitory organs and the heart,etc,etc..)

One basic procedure is also to calculate the average monthly mortality from the total population and an estimated lifespan of, let's say, 80 year. (40 million -> 500,000 deaths/year -> 40,000/month) and then consider variations in terms of that number.

One basic result is that there are appr 4,000 less deaths in february (compared to a month with 31 days).

Any guess on how that 89 deaths of CDV is produced??
