Yes. I think Bush is a "Christian" dittohead, however.
Mouthing the rhetoric strictly for use to exploit the "true" believers for political purpose.

Here's a great analysis of what happens with wingnuts are allowed to assume positions of responsibility:

mediawhoresonline.com;

What's most disturbing about this case has to do with the response of the wingnut's fellow judges and fellow gov't officials, and not the wingnut himself. On the surface, it looks like they disagree with the wingnut but just under the surface, you find out they are simply complying with the law, a law with which they do not agree.

For an example, the state's Attorney General was on the national news last week. While stating that the legal requirement for removal would be met, he went on to say that other states have religious artifacts in their public buildings, and that in some rare cases, the federal justices have ruled that these artifacts can remain in place. He didn't get into a lot of specifics but you could tell he was not happy about removing the ten commandments from Alabama's judicial building.

The Bush White House has very capably pointed out the differences that divide us. In the past, these differences have lied just below the surface. Now they are out in the open for us all to see. They are not minor. I wonder how long we can remain a united nation with these differences festering.
