So to go back to your example, if you have decided not to invite your black neighbors to your party, the right thing is not just to not invite them. Rather, you should go knock on their door and say "I just wanted to tell you, we're having a party next weekend, and everybody's invited except you. We don't like black people, so we don't want you in our house. Just wanted to be honest so you knew."

It sounds as though that's the preferable course in your view. Right?
