RTS,

It's the end of August and we're in the 6th month of a post-bubble rally (Naz +30%, S&P +20%, DJ +20%). Naz is up 50% since last October.

A "decent-sized dip" in Sept/Oct is a lot more than a remote possibility. Keeping some dry powder sounds reasonable to me.

As I write this note, 23 of the 25 stocks in the Group are in the "red" and 15 of the 18 stocks in the SOX are in the "red". The amount of "pullback" is minor in most cases, however.

Several people have been posting a lot of upbeat news that has been released today. It is a Monday during the last week in August - what better time to give a boost to keep the "rally" going.

<I'm hoping to buy a decent sized dip but how likely is that anyway? Valuations are high but growth is taking place even if it is slow growth it's still faster than was expected last quarter. Is it not?>

IMO it is going to be a real battle between the bulls and the bears over the next few weeks. The bulls pulled out their big guns this morning and fired a few silver bullets. Do we get a dip or not? - only your local hairdresser knows for sure!<g>
