It's odd how an issue that one can relate to has a way of bringing all other things into perspective. For these New Yorkers who have learned of the WH lies, all the sudden the rest of the story becomes obvious.

It was a moral dilemma. New York and the rest of the country were on the verge of panic, but most acutely in NY (and with good reason). Bush and the administration must have felt they had a choice: the possible health effects on a few million New Yorkers, or possible effects on the country if New Yorkers started abandoning the city en masse.

Was it the right choice?
