Makes no difference what it costs.....we can not afford to lose Iraq.....the terrorists and every tin pot dictator in the ME are watching and will learn from this experience, we can rise to the challenge and guarantee peace in that region by setting the example and showing the resolve to do what needs to be done or we can listen the the whining pinheads and retreat as we did in Vietnam and endure a similar period of decline......I don't think I can put a price on my freedom and security......can you?

You don't get it, do you? We've already lost!

Re: "...I don't think I can put a price on my freedom and security......can you?"

>>> Nope.

>>> But that doesn't mean that every policy prescription is the *best* possible policy to achieve freedom & security....

>>> I tend to think that having a big target painted on our backs in Iraq (for every fundamentalist trouble-maker from across the Muslim world to shoot at)... and an inadequate force projection level to surpress the opposition or protect the infrastructure, may just be a little short of an 'optimum' policy.
