We are long way past self defense and we have this love affair with being the most powerful military nation on Earth. There is not a healthcare system in the world that provides healthcare care as good as that in the United States. Only an idiot would consider the kinds of radical changes the liberals want. For those who can REALLY afford it. If you have corporate insurance, you are either with a health maintenance organization or a health care provider network.
