Most US coins which were "silver" were 90.0% silver up until (and including) 1964. From 1965 to 1969, only the Kennedy half dollar continued to be produced with a silver alloy, but with only 40% silver. There are still silver coins, but they are in mint sets (proof, uncirculated).
