re the roofs. I think the cedar shake business is finis in the interior of BC. I like Metal myself, I have a neighbour in Vancouver with a very nice red steel roof. According to one report I heard is that houses with stucco outsides rather than siding were more likely to survive. Re Carmanah , the staff really like working there as they can see a great future. The hourly paid workers don't get $20 an hour, more like $12 but they have a 5,000 share option. They are right on the harbour in Victoria, they also use Fedex to ship product. Does the price vary that much from Victoria to say Kitchener , Ontario or Winnipeg when you are shipping to say Miami, Florida or Valpairaiso Chile.
