furthermore what if the person's mother is blond, or what if it is a blond who has died her hair black? The harm is still done. So, yes it is an insult to that person. Was it intended to harm that person?...not likely. So we have a problem of perspective here. I am insulted is equivalent to saying I am harmed by the behavior. You are insulting, is equivalent to saying you are causing the harm. However, it does not automatically convict you of wrong doing, or of having a particular level of responsibility for the harm that has been done.
