So blame it all on Bush's war, huh? Yes Iraq is partly to blame. It's a huge waste of money and lives. Bush never admits his huge tax cuts for the rich are partly to blame. His excuse for the deficits is "we were attacked by the enemy". But Saddam never attacked us, did he?

Bush is talking about a single cell of hijackers, not a campaign where 150,000-240,000 troops are necessary for many years to come. Bush's war was Iraq was not even necessary. Afghanistan was a good idea, but Bush didn't finish it. Went right on into Iraq and commited hundreds of billions and half our military. The failure of the Iraq War will be Bush's epitaph and will hurt the economy for many years. Has any good come of it? Very little. But we have paid a huge price for it, and will continue to. Are we safer because it? Very doubtful. Maybe less safe.
