BTW, Arnie won't change things in the budget, since those require 2/3rds vote to amend the constitutional requirement to spend 1/2 state funds on education. The changes have to come from the neighborhoods fighting against bureaucracy.

Which is exactly why I'm getting ready for a default party!!!

Dems should be running away from the "challenge" of being a governor in this state with the fiscal crisis being what it is.

Just today there was some sort of city function in SJ where they talked about how to manage the economy with no middle class (assuming all the mid-level tech jobs go). For 10 years the state income taxes were something of a bonanza. I doubt the 10% unemployment rate changes too much.
