Hi quehubo; Re: " am saying that now is not important but what Iraq is doing 3-5 and 7-10 years from now is very important."

Okay. That's a rather long term, but that's an answer. I guess you're seeing Iraq as a long term quagmire instead of a quick and dirty quagmire, LOL.

Re: "I notice you dodge the point about what Iraq's inflicted damage has done as well as the damage it did to Iran and Kuwait."

I didn't "dodge" it, I ignored it. Iran's reduction in oil production was mostly due to the fall of the Shah, as I pointed out on this thread recently. (See #reply-19175436 which you were too chicken to reply to.)

Kuwait's oil production recovered nicely, (and quickly, compared to the "3-5 and 7-10 years" you're avoiding directly answering my question about Iraq with). This is more evidence that Iran's oil exports dropped long term because of their revolution, rather than only because of their war with Iraq.

But why bother to argue these musty facts? None of this is going to turn Iraq into anything other than the quagmire it is. Or is this an early version of the argument before the voters in 2004? Vote for Bush, he was forced to go into Iraq because they might have invaded Kuwait again? Sorry, it ain't gonna fly, given the American public's mounting distaste for Bush's tendency to (badly and baldly) lie about foreign policy.

P.S. For Oil exports (in dollars) of Kuwait, see:
kia.gov.kw

To get oil exports in barrels, you will have to divide by the price of oil.
