Ted, there is a majority view [in the world] that the war in Iraq was unnecessary.

This view is flawed, and if people can just get over their resentment of America for just a minute, they'll realize that all the U.N. negotiations didn't do diddly-squat in removing Saddam.

Herein lies the problem........you think their view is flawed and they KNOW your view is flawed.

Meanwhile, America did what the world should have done: remove Saddam. The ONLY reason why people aren't glad he's gone is because America wasn't a "global team player." To them, that's more important than removing a tyrant.

You're making the world too petty. They're upset with America because they are threatened by our power without an offset. That's why they are actively looking to counter us with a check. That explains the sudden blossoming of the friendship between France, Germany and Russia. And if Blair's gov't falls, the three will be joined by the UK.
