I've never seen any of the candidates in person. My neighbor's friend saw Dean when he was in Seattle awhile back, and her friend was impressed. What struck me about Dean's appearance in Seattle was the excitement that he created. I haven't seen anything like this in years. We didn't go down to WestLake to see him because we thought it would be crowded but we never expected so many people would turn out. Last weekend people told others that Dean would speak here Sunday night by sticking homemade posters into their lawns. Still, I was overwhelmed by their enthusiasm.
