All of the above.

Of course, if forced to choose, A.

How ya been, Karen?

There needed to be an "all of the above." Statement A is true, but it is true for many reasons, including statements B, C, and D.

This is one of those issues where trying to pin it down to a single answer is a disservice to the complexity of the issue. It makes a person think they know "the answer," when there are a huge number of factors to the answer, asssuming there even is an answer.

I would say they pretty much are all true except maybe B. (I'm unsure about that one)

D is really A with a reason and C is closely associate with A and to an extent B.

A,B,C, and D express different angles on a lot of the same facts. The answer shows more about peoples attitudes then it does their opinions on matters of fact if it shows anything at all.

Of course now I've analyzed it rather then giving an answer. I suppose my answer would be A. D explains a lot of the reason for A but probably not all of it so it isn't as good of answer. A is a large part of the reason for C, and C is at least a small part of the reason for A (if people see crime and criminals all around them I think they are more likely to commit crimes themselves.)
