Dean is the protest candidate of 2004. Like Bradley, Buchanon, J. Jackson, McCarthy, Tsongas and many others, he gets the base excited because he challenges the establishment. Only trouble is, none of the above names came out ahead in the end. Unless Bush were completely destroyed by some scandal in 2004 and everyone is anti-Bush, expect Dean to wield power at the convention but not win. Dean was just in Seattle and got a huge crowd of people who probably supported Nader in 2000.
