What idiot real terms are you using. In 1983 the Government outlays as a percent of GDP was 36 % w3.access.gpo.gov

The current GDP estimate is just over 10 trillion. It would take a 3.6 trillion budget to be larger in real terms.

You should do something for your mathaphobia.
