There are quite a few "demonstrable successes"... What is the tally now for killed/captured leadership (of both Saddam's regime and Al Quaida)? But if that's paralleled with a mounting US death toll, that too will erode. Yes, "mounting US death tolls" have become essential to Dem campaign platforms (simply political reality I suppose)... The DNC must love "tarbaby" - all of the usual suspects are repeating it like a mantra. Do you think McCauliffe put it in his fax?
