In my professional life as a technology developer, I've had occassional to be involved in selling large scale products to Microsoft. In one such meeting, with upwards of 50 Microsoft managers and decision makers, our chief sales demo-god was giving his standard presentation. It was sprinkled with small tension-breaking jokes and puns that never failed to illicit at least a smile and chuckle from all. Until that meeting. Outside of the bearded, t-shirted renegade 'architect' in the back, who howled loudly, the Microsoft people were the most humorless group I had ever witnessed. I swear we had fallen right into a scene from The Stepford Corporation.
