The reason I fear Iraq and afghanistan will be failures is that Bush doesn't believe in government. He doesn't appreciate that he will have to educate a whole generation of children in those countries,were talking a 25 year commitment, and he doesn't have any plans to do that. So another generation will grow up being poisoned by hate because the radical islamists are the only ones willing to pay for schools over there but they don't teach math or science just a twisted interpretation of the Koran and hate of the west. Meanwhile our unconditional support of Israel provides some evidence for them to believe the worst. I applaud that we stopped dealing with arafat but should hold the convicted war criminal Sharon to the same standard.
