FDR was "dealt" WWII?
Didn't it start after he had already
been president for TWO whole terms?

As for "guiding us through" the depression,
things really didn't improve throughout
the entire decade of the 1930's. In fact,
there was another severe depression in
1937-1938 that pushed unemployment back up
to 20% despite all of the "New Deal" policies
that were supposed to help.

FDR tried to alter the Supreme Court when
he didn't get his way, showing no respect
for separation of powers.

FDR broke tradition going back to George Washington
in running for a third term. I agree with you
that Washington was a great president for this
reason alone.

FDR imprisoned Japanese-Americans with no due process.

And the history of FDR is still being written...
When the great Ponzi scheme known as "Social Security"
finally collapses, maybe people will get a clue.
