Are you saying that "shi* just happens" and that poor little FDR was just a powerless little victim of history? After all, he was just the PRESIDENT OF THE FREAKIN' UNITED STATES! I didn't say that FDR _started_ WWII, but it is clearly obvious that nothing he did as President and Commander-In-Chief FOR TWO WHOLE TERMS prevented WWII from happening. I would consider that to be a FAILURE, not a SUCCESS, even though we did eventually win the war (at a huge cost in terms of both dollars and lives).
