I am unmarried and of course did not file a joint return. This of course is irrelvent because it misses the point of who the truely rich in this country are. The truely rich might work jobs for fun and power but certainly not for the money. These people get massive amounts of untaxed income from dividends and capital gains and pay some of the lower tax rates in the land. The Dems know how the game is played as well and play along like Clinton and focus on those not in that exclusive group for tax increases and instead target people that work job for the bulk of their income..like dentists, low level lawyers, low level pediatricians etc. And Clinton had a lot of the ignorant following along with his rhetoric like the people of Nazi Germany following Hitler, or those following Mao Tse Tung or Stalin.
