I back Kerry for one reason, because he's the man to beat Bush. And Karl Rove knows it. Which is why they've attacked Kerry so much.

If I ever see someone who can do better against Bush I'll back him. Though it may not look like it now, Kerry still stands the best change of being nominated. Even if the final choice has to go all the way to the convention. Dean's "army" may make that necessary.

But none of the big name Democrats will endorse Dean. Not a single one. He IS an outsider. Even within his own party. There would have to be a revolution at the DNC to get Dean nominated. Remember too, Dean is no Clinton. He's more like McCarthy, Dukakis, Tsongas and Mondale. With shades of Nader. If Kerry hadn't won a Silver Star and proved himself such a stud, he's be one of those guys too. Unelectable in November. But Kerry is electable. Dean supporters in the end just need to support that. And why not? Their platforms are quite similar.
