I never said that Bush Admin officials never said there were Al Qaeda ties. What I responded to was your highly inaccurate assertion that the war in Iraq was due to Iraq's possession of WMD's & Al Qaeda only. That was simply not true at all. Message 19248135 What is accurate to say is that as of 9/11 we were in a global war on terrorism. Bush & his Administration never limited our war on terrorism to only Al Qaeda. They all said frequently that this global war on terrorism was against any terrorist group with regional/global reach & any countries that harbor, support, finance, &/or train terrorists. Iraq was guilty on all counts. That is factually accurate. Folks who try to limit the discussion to Al Qaeda only &/or Iraq's possession of WMD's only are being disingenuous.
