1.7 million bpd X 30$pb X 365 days X 5 years X 0.25 efficiency generates 23 billion dollars. 29 billion needed for water and electricity.

Does anyone have a budget for the reconstruction of Iraq? Where is all the money going, both oil and tax revenues?

Bolton has said 7.3 billion for 2003 and 4 billion per month for the military(36 billion per year).

7.3 billion per year is 36 billion over 5 years plus military costs of 90 billion for 5 years(I assume that the military will be phased out in 5 years). Oil produces, at least, 23 billion over 5 years so one needs 100 billion or about 150$/taxpayer/year(150,000,000 taxpayers). Cheap. I'd pay 150$ per year extra if I could get a democratic Iraq out of it. If the taxpayers in Europe took part then the cost per taxpayer would fall to the half.

But then again I'm not too sure I'd want the US to lead the reconstruction(remembering Enron etc.).

If I've made a calculation mistake please correct it.
