-btw my suggestion to the job call centre is to send a proportion of them to India. One of the best places for an International Call Centre is Salt Lake City. The Mormon Church teaches every language in the World to their Missionaries, who go abroad at age 19 or 20. Gives them an enormous resource of Languages in Utah. As I have mentioned before, People in India go to special schools to learn "CNN English" so that they can work call centres without people knowing where they are. They have a BS or Masters in Business and are happy to start for $400 a month. You call an Airline in Washington to check on your lost baggage, you get Bangledesh! I was talking to one of my dance partners who teaches 6th grade here in Honolulu. Her comment on the use of "Hawaiian immersion" classes in 2nd and 3rd grade for kids with Polynesian BG is that it results in the kids never learning to speak any English but pigeon. A good example of PC run amok.
