But his biggest problem, that will get worse now that he is getting older, is that he is a drunk. This really starts to affect heavy drinkers when they hit their 50s. yep, I've read that. And writing is definitely not a profession that is kind to drunks. Sitting at home, hunched over the computer, if you are a "drunk" is an invitation to worse. Let's worry about ourselves a bit, too. Had a couple of guys over yesterday afternoon installing an FM antennae on the roof so we can get WQXR, the NYTimes classical music station. We live on the downside of a hill, that's between us and Manhattan. Turns out they are dedicated beer fans, micro brewery stuff, including brewing their own. I now have an invitation to their next brewing. They've promised me chocolate flavored beer. Since I don't enjoy beer, I'm debating whether to accept the invitation.
