-lol- My whole system is backed up to the nth degree so I dont give a rats ass what happens. I tell you a true story though just to keep you amused... It happened a few days ago. --------------------------- After having a set too with a difficult customer on an internet thread I was feeling a little paranoid and was perhaps expecting a cyber attack of some kind. Next day I had an auto request to update windows XP. Did the ol routine maintenance (imaged hard drives and mashed the update button) Then my PC went BESERK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Holy freaking cw I said to myself... some one has posed a virus as a windows update and launched a freaking MEGA WORM VIRUS into my PC. I've got some smart arse HACKER in my PC... Jeez, I'll try and be more nice to adverseries on the internut in future....the guy must have been so pied off he hired some hotshot HACKER in Russia or something to do in my PC!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet this guy knows my security and back ups and has given me some real ST that will screw up everything... So I tried to reboot, everything went ape s*t I could not do anything.... I could not use a floppy disc to start GHOST, I did manage to boot into BIOS but that was it. I could not do anything from there as the PC immediately locked up into some repeated loop or something. Then I noticed the ENTER key on the number pad was stuck down. I tapped it a couple of times and it came back up. My PC was now OK. Mega worm virus GAWN -ggg-
