Latest that I've seen/heard on live news reports here in Canada support the lab screw up theory. Current suspicion is that the common cold went through that old age residence.

To date there's not been a single case of pneumonia in the affected population.

FWIW,
Ian

To Peter, Richard, MZ, Ice et al

A friend's sister has Multiple Sclerosis. Her physician has recently recommended treatment with Rebif.

I know that there are may drugs for treatment of the symptoms of MS but only a few that are disease modifying drugs including interferon beta Ia (Avonex and Rebif), interferon beta Ib (Betaseron) and Glatiramer acetate (Copaxone).

Do you know of any ongoing clinical trials for new disease modifying drugs for MS? Any help will again be very appreciated. You guys are terrifically generous with your knowledge.
