8:34AM Intel CEO cites concerns over potential SARS re-emergence -- Dow Jones (INTC) 28.02: Dow Jones reports Intel's CEO Craig Barrett cited concerns over the potential re-emergence of the SARS virus in China this autumn. He suggested it could seriously hurt the country's economy. These comments were made during the news briefing in China on Wednesday about Intel's plan to spend $200 mln building a new facility in the inland city of Chengdu, Sichuan province.

9:36AM Lehman comments on CSCO after European visit (CSCO) 19.23 +0.22: Lehman Brothers providing positive inferential data points on CSCO in light of investor meetings with management in Europe. The meetings underlined the theme of cautious optimism on current trends and the outlook, with encouraging traction in new advanced technologies. Trends in the region, which represented 32% of F4Q03 orders, appear solid to date with good growth in the emerging markets in Russia and Middle East.

9:33AM QCOM -- Loop Capital views Ericsson CDMA contract as positive data pt 40.94 -0.06: Although the $30 mln CDMA wireless infrastructure deal announced by Ericsson was not large, firm thinks it is interesting in that it is another deal for CDMA infrastructure. This is the second CDMA contract that seen from this predominantly GSM player. Firm believes this is another telling sign of the growth of CDMA and an indirect plus for companies in that space like QCOM.

8:10AM United Micro upgraded at Merrill Lynch (UMC) 4.82: Merrill Lynch out of Asia upgrades to Buy from Neutral, saying now is the time to go long UMC given the stock's limited downside risk, an improving returns profile, and an attractive valuation; also, margins are likely to show material improvement on rising units, and the co should meet the high end of its Q3 guidance and momentum is likely to carry into Q4.

7:23AM ATI Tech downgraded at UBS (ATYT) 14.20: UBS out of Canada downgrades to Neutral from Buy based on valuation; raises target to US$15.60 from $13.75.

Don when I look at long term charts of the group I am astounded with the stock price rebound this year but I should have seen in coming with the technical bottom last year.
