So were the regimes of Southern Korean dictators that lasted until the late 80's. Last time I checked, South Korea is just as
prosperous as Japan these days. Think that would have happened had America not defended South Korea?
Why do you think we went in there to capture or kill the warlord? Because we were evil imperialists who wanted to colonize Somalia,
as De Genova implies? No, it's because he was seen as a key figure in hindering humanitarian aid to Somalis.

You continue to generalize and confuse ligitimate action with illegitimate, pre-emptive military operations undertaken against the better judgment and advice of many at home and world wide and based on hidden agendas and cooked up intelligence. It's as if you want everyone to accept that, because America has done good in the past, all past and future policy is righteous and should be supported without question. In Somalia the cause was just. The warlord's followers made no distinction between America the humanitarian and the military attack on their compound.
