Best I can tell, there are more folk out there that are simply fed up with Bush than was anticipated

The Democratic base is fed up with Bush, but that's hardly news. It's way too early to tell if 'lots' of people are fed up with Bush - meaning people who wouldn't normally be active in a Democratic primary.

Whispers around that Clinton likes Wesley Clark are the kinds of things I have in mind.

Clark was the star at a high powered meeting of top Dems in Colorado earlier this month. He and Clinton were sharing the podium in meetings. But the guy has to run to make it, and he is not showing the courage to do it. Someone with his Military Bureaucracy BG has to be supported. Ike made it because he had the party set up for him.
