The point of having school kids say the Pledge, is to teach them the importance of supporting our democracy. It also teaches them to have pride in America.

But, as far as your question: When a Democrat takes a pledge, their word is good for as far as you can throw them, because most Democrats are liars.

When a Republican takes a pledge, you can count on their word. I should not have had to say this, because Republican honesty and integrity is understood without saying.
